National Women's Youth Choir

The National Women's Youth Choir was awarded the Concertgebouw's Young Talent Award in April 2023, and praised for its tremendous contribution to training young vocal talent for many years. Simon Reinink, general director of The Concertgebouw: 'Every performance of this choir confirms its exceptional quality.' The choir features young singers aged 16 to 29. They have an enormous drive to always continue to develop alongside their studies, school or job, and in addition to more traditional works, they enjoy being challenged in their own way in performing modern, complex music, such as the women's chorus in Aus Licht by Stockhausen and recently the Galgenlieder by Lera Auerbach.
National Mixed Youth Choir

The young but full sound of the National Mixed Youth Choir (ages 15 to 29) is unlike any other choir. The choir was formed when boys from the National Boys' Choir moved on after voice changes and joined with singers from the National Children's Choir to form a new chamber choir. With fresh energy, they have been performing the finest choral works from Bach to the Beatles ever since. Whatever they sing, they go for it. They adapt nimbly to the sound world of the music and the respective project conductor. Thus Sigvards Klava awakened in the young voices a new depth appropriate to the world of Rachmaninov and the choir brought emotion with their transparent and staged performance of the John Passion.
