Suzanne Konings studied Theory of Music and Musicology and has been head of the Department of Music Theory at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague since 2004. Since 2009 she has specialized in music education according to the Kodály concept. Together with colleagues in and outside the conservatory, she organizes study programs for teachers and musicians in elementary school, music schools and higher music education. Suzanne Konings teaches music theory and solfège (musicianship) to students at the Royal Conservatory of Music, and at the Nationale Koren for singers of the National Mixed Youth Choir and the National Women's Youth Choir in the teaching location of Utrecht.
